Soprano

Reentrant GCEA tuning — the classic small ukulele. Same chord shapes as concert and tenor GCEA.

Concert

GCEA tuning with a slightly longer scale. Full chord, scale, and progression coverage.

Tenor

GCEA (reentrant high G). Chord diagrams match the most common tenor setup; low-G players can still use these shapes for harmony.

Baritone

DGBE tuning — same as the top four strings of the guitar. Guitar-style chord shapes on ukulele.

Bass ukulele (U-bass)

EADG tuning like a 4-string bass. Bass chord library, scales, progressions, licks, and exercises.

Taro-Patch

The historic 8-string doubled-course Hawaiian ukulele — same reentrant GCEA tuning as soprano, so every standard ukulele chord shape carries over.

Start with size and tuning

Soprano, concert, and tenor ukuleles share GCEA chord shapes, so choose by feel, scale length, and voice rather than by different diagrams. Baritone ukulele uses DGBE like the top four guitar strings, while bass ukulele moves into EADG bass territory.
