Fretboard note trainer

Learn the notes on the neck as a game: the board lights up a spot, you name the note — or a note is called and you find every spot for it. Build a streak and score across difficulty tiers, on any instrument's real tuning. Pair it with the Fretboard Explorer and how to read tabs.

Pick your instrument, a mode, and a difficulty tier, then start the drill. Your streak and best scores are saved on this device.

Fretboard trainer: One note can appear in several places on the neck. Select: Choose the exact instrument and tuning. Recall: Name a shown note or find the requested note. Check: Say the note aloud before revealing the answer.

Dojo Decks: Frequent recall is the goal, not a long single session. Choose: Practice notes, chord spellings or intervals. Retrieve: Answer from memory before checking. Return: Review again in a short later session.
