Practice Desk
Thirty tools, thirty tempos — until now. The desk runs compatible tools together on one clock, so the drums, the click and your strum pattern are the same pulse. Pick a starting arrangement, set the tempo once, and share the whole setup as a link. Prefer a guided session instead? Browse the practice routines or build one in the routine builder.
Shared tempo
One tempo drives every tool on this page. Nothing is sent anywhere — the desk is saved in this browser.
Starting arrangements
- Time and Changes — A click to hold the pulse and a one-minute change count to measure against it.
- Groove and Strum — A kit pattern under a strum pattern — the right hand against a real drummer, not a click.
- The Full Desk — Everything the desk can run in v1, on one tempo: drums, click, strum pattern and the change counter.
What composes on the desk
- Drum Machine — the groove — a 16- or 12-step kit pattern you can edit cell by cell while it loops. Its own tempo range: 30–280 BPM.
- Metronome — the click — accents, odd time signatures, gap-click bars, random beat drops and polyrhythms. Its own tempo range: 30–280 BPM.
- Strumming Trainer — the right hand — a sounded strum pattern with down/up/mute strokes over a chord you choose. Its own tempo range: 40–240 BPM.
- Chord Changes — the scoreboard — a one-minute count of how many clean changes between two shapes you actually make. Its own tempo range: 40–200 BPM.
The desk's tempo range is the overlap of these four, so no tool is ever quietly retuned. Everything else in the tool catalogue still runs on its own page.
