Dojo Decks
Flashcards with a memory: every card you review is rescheduled by how well you knew it, so easy cards drift weeks apart while shaky ones come back tomorrow. Four decks cover the theory every player actually uses — and each day's review counts toward your practice streak and heatmap like any other session.
Today's reviews
The four decks. The interactive review queue replaces this list when JavaScript loads.
- Fretboard Notes Every note on every guitar string, frets 0–12. The foundation everything else stands on.
- Chord Spellings The notes inside major, minor, and 7th chords for all twelve roots — know what your fingers are saying.
- Key Signatures Sharps and flats for all 12 major and 12 relative-minor keys, straight off the circle of fifths.
- Intervals Interval names to semitone counts and back again — the vocabulary of every chord and scale formula.
Tip: small and daily beats big and rare — ten minutes of reviews a day will outrun an hour once a week. Your deck progress travels with your practice data in a Dojo Scroll export.
About spaced repetition
Cramming feels productive because recall is easy while everything is fresh — then it all evaporates. Spaced repetition schedules each review for the moment you're about to forget, which is when recalling actually strengthens the memory. Rate a card honestly and the scheduler does the rest: "easy" cards stretch to weeks apart, "again" cards come right back. It's how medical students memorise anatomy, and it works just as well for the fretboard.
- How many cards should I review a day?
- Whatever's due, plus up to ten new cards per deck. Early on that's a few minutes; once the scheduler spreads cards out, a mature deck often has only a handful due daily.
- What do the Again / Hard / Good / Easy buttons do?
- They tell the scheduler how well you knew the answer. Good follows the normal ladder (1 day, 3 days, then multiplying by the card's ease). Again resets the card to relearn today and shortens its future gaps; Easy stretches them further.
- Is my progress stored anywhere?
- Locally in your browser, like all String Warrior practice data — no account needed. A Dojo Scroll export from the practice stats page includes your decks, so you can move them between devices.
